MoPo
RemembersThere is nothing more painful to movie fans than the
passage of time
and the inevitable loss of famous faces that we have grown to love.
MoPo salutes those wonderful stars that have left
us with a display of some of the movie memorabilia that helped promote their
Hollywood careers.
A Special Remembrance...

Thanks to MoPo Member David Kusumoto for

Barbara
Franchi 1935-2009
Barbara, pictured above with her husband Rudy Franchi, was an early member and avid supporter of MoPo in its formative years. She and her husband previously owned The Nostalgia Factory in Massachusetts for nearly 40 years, a fixture in the movie memorabilia community. In addition to her passion for movie posters, Barbara also loved mystery fiction and was very active in that community, running the web site ReviewingtheEvidence.com. Barbara passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009 in California. Everyone at MoPo offers our sincere condolences to the Franchi family.
John was one of the 3 original founders of Cinevent, the classic film convention and poster show held Memorial Day weekend in Columbus, Ohio since 1968.
